A Perfect Day

It's not too often that Rich & I have an entire day off to do whatever we please. We try to take a couple of days a month to do something together, and catch a dinner out at least once a week. And in fact, we're taking a few days to head off to Disney World for our anniversary next month. But today was a day like no other. We woke up fairly early and spent a quiet morning together, then made a "farm-style" breakfast and got ready for our Doctor's appointments. We each had our annual physicals today. After a couple hours we were freeeeeeeee!!!! We had lunch together and then hit the beach! It was an absolutely beautiful day the water was warm, the breeze was perfect and the temperature was ideal for laying out. :) After a quick dinner we're crashing in our pad! Still can't believe we have made it through a whole day without Rich being called in to the airport!!!!!!

Scrambled eggs with cheese, breakfast yukon gold potatoes, honey-butter English muffin and turkey "bacon"! 

My new beach lounger!!!! I've been wanting one of these for a while but I am a cheap skate. I loooooove my cheery new beach lounger. 

After a quick dip (and no, I never go in past my knees....sharks live in "deep" water. :) I spent a few hours catching sun. It was absolutely beautiful outside. 

Happy Sarcasm Day!

I know I'm not the only one who delights in sarcasm. Now of course everyone who knows me knows that I also have a deeply compassionate side...but that's just no fun. I love to laugh. I have so many saves from my someecards app on my iPhone that it could almost be considered a hobby. If you like these, you will enjoy this post.  This is how I felt during the month of January, when the gym suddenly filled up and there was not a machine to be found. I remarked to the guy at the front desk that it seemed like more machines were in order as the gym seemed to be getting busier. That's when he said, "Don't worry, they will all gone be gone before the end of the month." hahaha! 

 

If I haven't seen you in the last 24 months, it may not be an accident....lol!

 I love self-deprecating humor. It's my favorite. If you can't laugh at yourself, get a life!
